The ferries travel through the stretch of water between the land and the island. Departing from Playa del Carmen, visitors arrive in San Miguel in 45 minutes.

Two companies cover this route. In the fastest, air-conditioned waterjets, Mexico I and Mexico II, it takes about 35 minutes. Or you can travel on the smaller outdoor boats, Xel-Ha or Cozumeleño that will take you in an hour.

By Ferry from Playa del Carmen: A fleet of new fast boats, with regular schedules and convenient service, you can be in Cozumel in 30 minutes from the dock of Playa del Carmen. The crosses start at 6:00 am from Cozumel and the last one is at 10:00 am from Playa del Carmen.
